Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican-American sportscaster. She works as an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation at times. She started working at ESPN in the year 2016. Her daughter is television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been bilingual since she was nine years old. This is a beneficial ability that allowed her to secure her first job as a production assistant for Univision in Miami and gave her the opportunity to work alongside producers of national programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. In 2009, the CBS station of St. Petersburg hired her for a position as the sports reporter. In 2009, she relocated in Rio Grande Valley, Texas to work as reporter for news on KNVO TV 48 Univision. At some point they moved from Veracruz Mexico to Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. There is an older sister. Her family relocated in Miami in 1992, after having left Mexico. She divorced her parents shortly thereafter and, in 1995 she tied the knot with an naval designer by the name of Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 due to kidney cancer. The holiday in the summer that she lived together with her sister in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl got work. As a senior in high school and yet knowing exactly the direction she was going to take with her life Antonietta was able to visit The University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her requirements. The result was that she was a fan of the campus and also that the university had the major she wanted. After completing her studies, she received a scholarship to the University as a major in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and was also the director of WRMU and WRMU, which she is a part of. They developed a close relationship. The professor who taught her Mark Bergmann inspired her with his enthusiasm in journalism. He also deeply impacted her.
